Bug: Trying to upload a png to an icon using file name/path causes application to crash.
If you go to select an icon from your local system and type in the filename you want (in my case a PNG), the program crashes.

This new version is no where compare to Classic Captivate and now voted suggestion may take decade to be par with CPC
A new version should retain all the features of the old one while also introducing meaningful enhancements. However, the new CP still falls far short of CPC. The development team may not fully understand which CPC features users rely on, and some basic options have been removed entirely. For example, adding a simple text box now requires inserting an entire block, with limited editing options that are locked within a group. In addition, the new CP crashes too often. If every missing feature must go through a suggestion and voting process before the development team prioritizes it, it could take…

Export slides to PDF
Please add a function that allows a Captivate project to be exported to PDF. Articulate does this and it is very helpful for leverating generative AI for grammar and spell checks.

Save before closing
Save Before Closing – “Ignorer” action in the French Version closes without saving
In the French version, when the “Save before closing” window appears, it offers three options: Ignorer, Annuler, and Enregistrer. These labels are confusing.
In French, “Ignorer” and “Annuler” both sound similar to Cancel. When we click “Ignorer”, we expect it to close the dialog box—just like Cancel—but instead it closes the project without saving.
To avoid confusion, you should rename the "gnorer" button to “Ne pas enregistrer” (“Don’t save”), as it was in Captivate Classic.2 votes -
Fix the PowerPoint Import
I have a PowerPoint presentation with graphics, text that is bolded and/or italicized, and line drawings.
When I have Captivate import the presentation, it absolutely WRECKS bold or italicized texts within a sentence, and makes line drawings unintelligible.
I have used Captivate as my tool of choice for years.
I sat on my Fortune 500 company's evaluation team when the "new and improved" Captivate came out.
WE DROPPED CAPTIVATE FROM USE because of poor functionality. Now I have my own company and do work for clients. I am evaluating Captivate for several new projects -- but I am not seeing…

QWERTY compatibilty
The Undo function is mapped to the AZERTY keyboard configuration instead of the QWERTY.
Actually, the undo function is assigned to the CTRL+W shortcut instead of the CRTL+Z. Crtrl+Z close the project. It's really annoing, as the undo function is a convention on Ctrl+Z on all QWERTY keyboard. It's occus in the french version of the new Adobe Captivate.

Bug: Asked to save changes when no changes were made
When publishing a course as a SCORM file, an asterisk is added next to the file name indicating changes were made. When I try to close the file, it asks me to save my changes. What changes? I only published the course in a different format.

This Is Where Good Ideas Come to Die
If the information here is never going to see the light of day in the form of actionable tickets, what exactly are we doing here? You keep ignoring bugs reported years ago; what hope do I have that anything I report will even be looked at?

[Feature] Grid and Visible Borders for Design Options
Version: 13.0
Problem:
When working in Captivate, visual aids such as grids, borders, or width and height indicators are missing. Apart from the highlight shown when directly clicking a Design Option or on slide overflow, the positioning of elements is difficult to control – especially for complex layouts.Suggestion:
- Visible borders for Design Options and their sub-elements, optionally toggleable.
- Fully customizable background grid, similar to Adobe XD or Figma, for better layout orientation.
- Display of width and height measurements for placed elements.1 vote -
Bug- Mac Users Have Different Text
When I create trainings, they work just as expected on Windows but if someone on a Mac opens it the text turns into a different font and is not matching my company branding as I designed it to.

Personal Asset Library + Personal Presets
I use Captivate and Camtasia. Camtasia has a personal asset library you can build out yourself. Like if you customize a certain effect you can save it as a preset but also if you upload an asset you can save it in your library for future use. Both of these features would be really helpful and save me a lot of time.

Add a completion dialog to the "Remove Unused Items" function
The option "Remove Unused Items" is helpful and seems to do the job of cleaning up the project file and reducing its size. However, under Captivate 12.6.0 there is no completion dialog to inform the user that the function has been completed. A useful dialog might be something like the following:
All unused items have been removed from this project.
48 items were removed, reducing this project file size by 586k.

Lost .cptx File After License Error and Reinstallation – Help Needed
Even though my Adobe Captivate license was active, I received a license expiration error. A sales rep shared a reactivation link, which prompted a reinstall. I followed the process, including uninstalling the old version, installing the new one from Adobe’s site, and restarting my system.
After this, I discovered my most recent .cptx project file—saved on June 12 with final changes—was missing. The only version left is from June 11, but the published output (dated June 12) reflects all the final edits.
Adobe Support said the file can’t be recovered from the published version. This is frustrating, especially since it's…

Splash Screen on Startup Covers Everything on My Computer
In most other Adobe Apps, the splash screen on start up (the loading screen with artwork) will pop up, and I am able to look at other things on my computer while it's loading. For some reason, Captivate's splash screen is automatically layered on top of everything else on my computer, so I have to sit and wait for Captivate to slowly start before I can do anything.
It would be great if the splash screen behaved the way it does in other Adobe Applications. Thanks!

Close Project without closing application (And be able to clear cache without active projects open)
Currently when I close a project it automatically ends the entire Captivate Application. This is normally useful, but sometimes I want to close a project and then open another one immediately, rather than having 2 open at once (2 giant captivate projects open at once makes my computer run very slowly). Captivate takes a lot of time to completely reboot, so being able to go back to a 'Home Screen' would make it easier for me to edit quickly. Ideally it would be like Adobe Illustrator, where you can close a project and it will just show the start up…

Add Ability to Lower Slide/Thumbnail Resolution to Improve Editing Time
Currently the program is super slow, and it's frustrating sitting there waiting for thumbnails of slides to process before I can even click them. I wish there was a way we could lower the resolution of our slides/thumbnails (like how Adobe After Effects allows you to lower the resolution to 1/4 or 1/2 to enable faster editing).
I don't need my slides and thumbnails to look perfectly crisp while editing and if they were lower resolution in the editor it might help me speed up my process.
I use some animated GIFs as images, and in the thumbnails Captivate is…
