Not at all what you are asking, but here is a workaround for now- PUBLISH your project. this will give you two folders- a zipped one and an open one. This will give you ALL the items in the project. in a folder titled "dr" you will find the images used in the project. THEN you can open with photoshop :)
You will then have to go back to captivate and put in your new image, but you at least have the image source file available.
