Display Time Limit for question slides
The ability to add a time limit per question slides is great, however it would be nice to display this countdown timer to learners so they can gauge how much time they have left. Is there a system variable that could be displayed or other method to achieve this?

Custom Themes Prior to Recording Software Simulations
It would be amazing to be able to apply a theme prior to recording a Software Simulation to decrease the amount of editing that has to be done after the recording. Specifically, it would be helpful if the Instructions component color and font could either be defined prior to recording. And it would be thrilling if I could edit the Instructions component color and/or font AFTER recording and have the option to "Apply to all slides" like you can with the Mouse properties. Right now, the Instructions color and font have to be changed one slide at a time after…

Missing options in UI elements in Theme
When setting up a Theme, all options which are available individually on slides should be available in the setup for a custom Theme. Here are two examples where I could't find how to do a full setup, both for Quiz slides:
1. Radio buttons: you can only set up the Normal state, not the other states needed in quiz slides (Hover, Selected, Disabled (selected), Disabled. Moreover it is not possible to change the border width.
2. Checkboxes: similar to the radio buttons, only the fill color and the border color of the Normal state can be set up.There are…

Rearranging states - change default state
I would like to be able to rearrange the sequence of the states, or have a copy/paste possibility. At this moment only the duplicate (CTRL-D) is available but the duplicates cannot be moved. Since I have a touch screen I would prefer to be able to use the touch feature, but can live with using the mouse or trackpad as well.
Moreover it would be great to be able to choose another default state than the first one created. I solve that at this moment by using an interaction triggered by the On Enter slide event, but since there are…5 votes -
More than 4 SVGs in a content block
Just like you should be able to add more than 3 buttons you should be able to add more than 4 SVGs to a content block.

ProjectLockTOC not functional
That system variable used to be able to block all navigation by TOC. However when assigning the value True to it, the learner is still allowed to navigate to any slide.

Mouse Pointer Settings
Allow for editing the color of the mouse pointer or include the one that looks exactly like a mouse on your computer. We want to be as realistic as possible and the mouse that looked most accurate in Adobe Captivate Classic is not available in the All-New version of Captivate. The closest looking one is gray, but there is no way to change the color of it to white.

Ability to undock panels.
Would like the ability to undock and move the timeline panel, or any panel, to a custom location on my screen or to a separate display. Currently, I can only view Captivate on one monitor and when the timeline is expanded I lose a lot of screen real estate. In Cp Classic, I could undock and move the timeline, library, and many other panels wherever I wanted and save that layout for future projects.

redo the click to reveal slides. Every time I change a picture on there, it tells me "something went wrong!" in the preview and I have to redo the entire slide. This is not sustainable. Please fix.

allow free movement of blocks
The interface using a fixed block-based layout is awful. Jumping through hoops just to design a slide with a video where I want it and a text box next to it.

Personal Asset Library + Personal Presets
I use Captivate and Camtasia. Camtasia has a personal asset library you can build out yourself. Like if you customize a certain effect you can save it as a preset but also if you upload an asset you can save it in your library for future use. Both of these features would be really helpful and save me a lot of time.

Export Project Content and Captions
I have discovered that the Export project content and captions workflow is missing an important text component that should be corrected as soon as possible. The various feedback captions for question slides seem to be missing from the resulting Word document. I guess it would be considered a bug as this is a major omission for the software.

A more rodust video player without the need of the video slide.
With the amount of video training and the vast need for playing video libraries inside menus, I would love to see a Video Player, like the existing one, but with capabilities like:
Turn on/off closed captions from the button
The ability to select bookmarks/chapters from the player.
I know some of this can be accomplished from the video slide, but it will be better if it is done from the actual video player. A more robust video player with more options. More like a YouTube experience when young learners can identify better in the video section.3 votes -
Increase number of items allowed on Timeline widget
Please allow us to add more than 6 items/nodes to the timeline widget. An upper limit of 10-20 items on the timeline widget would be more reasonable. I understand that space may be limited with some of the current design options, but changes could be made to accommodate more items on the timeline.
For example, the design for the horizontal timeline could have a scroll arrow added to the screen, to allow users to scroll left and right and see further down the timeline. Alternatively, the design could be modified (or a new design added) to use a dedicated location…

Hyperlink improvement
Hyperlinks do not always work. Our policy link looks like this and Captivate 12 doesn't accept it: https://epm.azahcccs.gov/EligibilityPolicyManual/index.html#t=Policy%2FChapter_400_AHCCCS_Medical_Assistance_Programs%2FMA0413.htm
If I convert it to a tiny UTL, that type of link does work. https://tinyurl.com/EPM413

Accessibility Bug: The scrolling text area does not have a tab index
The click to reveal widget forces a scrolling text box. This text box cannot be scrolled by a keyboard user, because there is no tab index on the box itself. It is also not clear that the text box is scrollable, because the thumb for the scrollbar is hidden until scrolling with the mouse. This box should be responsive on browser zoom and expand vertically to show the text, rather than cut the text off in a scrolling area. If it must do a scrolling area, that scrolling area needs the scroll bar thumb as an indicator, and also needs…
