We tested the workflow on our end but could not reproduce the issue. If you haven't already, please install the latest Captivate update (v13) and check if it resolves the issue. You can either install it from Help->Check for Updates or by downloading the setup from this URL: https://adobe.com/products/captivate/vipdownload.html.
If the issue persists, please let us know the operating system you’re using so we can suggest further accordingly. If possible, kindly share an affected Captivate project where the issue is reproducible for reference.

I checked this workflow using the image media blocks in Adobe Captivate and could change the image in different states. Kindly confirm the component for which you're unable to change the image in its state view so we can check and suggest further accordingly.

Using the toggle action “Project.LockTOC” on the slide enter interaction will disable the Table of Contents, making the topics unclickable while keeping the TOC visible in the output. Please find the attached screenshot for reference.

Thank you for your feedback.
The new Adobe Captivate does provide the option to enable/disable TOC and Playbar as per your requirements. Here's a link to help article with details: https://helpx.adobe.com/captivate/help/table-of-contents-adobe-captivate.html.
Additionally, if you wish to enable/disable for specific slides, you may also consider using variables on the slide enter/exit interaction to control their behaviour.
Kindly elaborate if you have a different requirement so we can check and suggest further accordingly.

You can achieve this by creating a bookmark at the beginning of the video and then using a button with the “Jump to Bookmark” interaction. For reference, I’ve attached a sample project demonstrating this workflow.

We tested the workflow using sample Captivate projects and simulations, and the output worked as expected when accessed via SCORM Cloud and Adobe Learning Manager on both Windows and macOS. Please share an affected Captivate project for further investigation so we can review it and suggest next steps accordingly.

Please ensure that both Windows and Mac devices are using the same version of Adobe Captivate. You can check the version by going to Help → About Adobe Captivate. Additionally, confirm that the font used in your project is installed and available on both devices. If the font isn’t available on one system, Captivate may automatically substitute it, which can cause the text to appear differently.

Thank you for your feedback.
The date format you’re looking to display (e.g., November 25, 2025) isn’t currently available as a built-in system variable in Captivate. We'll evaluate the feasibility of the request and take appropriate actions accordingly.
Meanwhile, one workaround you can consider is using JavaScript to generate the date in text format. Please find below steps to set it up:
- Create a user variable (e.g., Test) with type String
- Insert the variable into a text field in this format: $$Test$$
- On Slide Enter, add an action to Run JavaScript with the following code: const today = new Date().toLocaleDateString('en-us', { year:"numeric", month:"long", day:"numeric"}) ;
window.cpAPIInterface.setVariableValue("Test", today);
- Preview the project to verify that the date appears in the desired format -

We tested this workflow using a sample Captivate project on Windows 11 device, and it worked as expected as the Undo action worked correctly with keyboard shortcut Ctrl+z. If you haven’t already, we recommend installing the latest Captivate update (v13) and checking if the behavior works as expected on your end. You can install the update either by going to Help > Check for Updates or by downloading the setup directly from the following URL:

If the blur area is not required for a particular step, it can be unchecked or disabled. In cases where both are used together, the blur area is intended to mask the underlying screen content, which is why it appears above other elements.
If you have a different or specific use case in mind where this behavior becomes a limitation, please feel free to share more details - we’d be happy to review it.
