allow text boxes to be resized
text boxes are fixed width and cannot be resized to accommodate for other objects or portions of an image. this is completely restrictive. even text boxes that are inserted manually (vs choosing one of the very fixed slide templates) cannot be resized.

Bug - Mobile course layout and view does not match what I'm seeing within Captivate
When we design our courses in Captivate to look a certain way on Desktop, Tablet, and Phone, the published course design/layout does not match what we designed it to look like in Captivate. The mobile views have screwed up fonts and layout and don't appear the same as we designed them to be. What is the point of having the ability to view and design for different devices if that design doesn't carry over to those devises in the end?? I am including side-by-side screenshots of what a specific slide was designed to look like in Captivate and what it…

Add interaction to video grid based on video progress
I would be helpful if we could add interactions to video grid blocks based on user progress. For example, I would like to add an interaction that enables a button, but only after the user has watched a certain percentage of each video in the grid.

Unrestrict element placement and size.
Currently unable to place button anywhere within the button field. All have to be together within the field, meaning limited design options. Also Icon buttons, should be able to re-size the icon within the button. Elements on screen, such as Text and Image, should be easily changed in size. At the moment, very restricted as to how the course will look. Classic Captivate was ideal as we had free rein over the design.

Fix the PowerPoint Import
I have a PowerPoint presentation with graphics, text that is bolded and/or italicized, and line drawings.
When I have Captivate import the presentation, it absolutely WRECKS bold or italicized texts within a sentence, and makes line drawings unintelligible.
I have used Captivate as my tool of choice for years.
I sat on my Fortune 500 company's evaluation team when the "new and improved" Captivate came out.
WE DROPPED CAPTIVATE FROM USE because of poor functionality. Now I have my own company and do work for clients. I am evaluating Captivate for several new projects -- but I am not seeing…

Bug: Hotspot callout size is not reflected in actual course
The actual callout size when previewing or publishing the course is considerably larger than what is shown in Captivate. Padding settings are not respected.

TOC Navigation Control Missing in New Adobe Captivate
Issue Summary:
In the new version of Adobe Captivate, Table of Contents (TOC) items are enabled from the beginning, allowing users to skip slides without completing them. This undermines the learning flow and defeats the purpose of structured eLearning.
Expected Behavior:
There should be an option or variable to disable TOC items initially, and enable each item only after the corresponding lesson or slide is completed.
Actual Behavior:All TOC items are accessible from the start.
Learners can skip ahead without engaging with the content.
No built-in setting or variable is available…3 votes -
Accessibility Bug: Screen readers announce radio buttons incorrectly
Two primary issues.
If using the question slide template, the multiple choice questions always announce as a group of checkboxes with screen readers, even if they are radio buttons. The toggle between single answer and multiple answer changes the state visibly, but not programmatically.
If using the Radio Group interactive component, the radio buttons correctly announce as radios, however, when navigating to the next radio option, the screen reader announces the previously selected option again in addition to the new option.
Example:
A radio group with options A, B and C.With JAWS or NVDA navigate to Option A, "Option…

Add Ability to Lower Slide/Thumbnail Resolution to Improve Editing Time
Currently the program is super slow, and it's frustrating sitting there waiting for thumbnails of slides to process before I can even click them. I wish there was a way we could lower the resolution of our slides/thumbnails (like how Adobe After Effects allows you to lower the resolution to 1/4 or 1/2 to enable faster editing).
I don't need my slides and thumbnails to look perfectly crisp while editing and if they were lower resolution in the editor it might help me speed up my process.
I use some animated GIFs as images, and in the thumbnails Captivate is…

Playhead Not Accurate In Timeline
This is especially noticeable when I've just added a new audio to the slide. I add the audio, press play on the timeline, and the playhead is frozen in place while the audio plays uncontrollably in the background. Eventually the playhead starts moving, but it's inaccurate. When the screen is frozen and the audio is playing, I have to just sit there and wait for the playhead to start moving. If I click anything before the playhead starts moving again, the program can crash or freeze.
I've noticed the timeline is pretty inaccurate in general, and I have to time…

You should be able to adjust the settings of each device separately.
You should be able to adjust all settings per device so you can ensure that designs looks good across all screens. I have found it pretty impossible to work with as it is at the moment.

Click to Reveal widget issue when using custom images
I have the latest version of the all-new Captivate (12.5) and I'm experiencing a bug with the "Click to Reveal" widget when trying to use custom images. To replicate this issue: In the click to reveal widget, add a custom image and change its display from "fill" to "fit", do the same for the "Hover" state. Try to preview. The only thing that shows in the page is "Something went wrong!"
This error happens only when using "Fit" as the display, it works fine when using "Fill" so I'm guessing that it's something to do with the states.

Add completion status for click-to-reveal for slide interactions
. . . so that a slide interaction on a slide that has the click-to-reveal widget can depend on whether all the cards in the widget have been click.
This is because the forward and back buttons are much more prominent than the "X" in the top right of the revealed card. Users don't see the "X" and mistakenly click on the back button instead trying to return to the front of the card. If you have completion status for the click-to-reveal widget, those buttons could be hidden until the user has clicked on all the cards.

change the hand cursor placement so it is over the click box, not instruction box
When taking a course that includes a Training software simulation, the cursor changes to a hand when the learner hovers over the Instruction caption but not the click box. I don't see a way to change this, or just remove the hand cursor from appearing over the Instruction caption.

Quiz Review locks out retake
If a learner fails a quiz and then they review the quiz and use 'Show Answers' button it locks out options to either retake or continue leaving the Learner in limbo.
In this scenario it should be optioned that they can retake the quiz or if this is not the wanted outcome then Continue with the failed results recorded to LMS.
