Allow buttons in Branding Block to allow customisable UI navigation

Screenshots aren't uploading so I added them to a shared folder

The very basic functionality to make a button block into navigation buttons does exist (like in your screenshot), but it really doesn't work in my reality.
I've attached a few screenshots.
Image 1 (possible in 12.6) - I have my text blocks, then a button block with custom buttons. This has the buttons floating wherever the end of the text blocks is. This doesn't work from a good UI perspective. I could add padding but that doesn't translate well with responsive design.
Image 2 (possible in 12.6) With this option, I can get the buttons consistently at the bottom, but I have to have another block set as "auto fit height." In doing so, it makes the vertical alignment of my text look bad. This is also not good UI.
Images 3 and 4 are a mock up of the functionality I would like. Within the footer block, allow options to add 3+ buttons that I can make custom navigation buttons. This way they are always showing in the same spot for the user and the rest of my slide design can be manipulated the way I'd like.

Thank you for your response, Jessica.
I've attached a screenshot for reference. Kindly confirm if this is a similar use case you're trying to achieve

I am not the original submitter, but this idea would benefit me.
Custom buttons allow custom navigation (skipping slides based on variables, disabling buttons until other actions are taken, etc.).
We can have navigation buttons in the button block, but that cannot anchor to the bottom of the slide like the branding block / footer does. For me to have my button block to the bottom, I have to have another block set as "auto fit height" which doesn't always work with my slide designs and is in general not a great workaround.
Right now I only use the default playbar for my projects, but this prevents me from having any custom navigation in an interface I find acceptable.

Thank you for your feedback.
Could you please elaborate the requirement for a better understanding? If possible, kindly share a screenshot or screen recording for clarity.
