    Thank you for your feedback.

We're evaluating the request about closing the project without closing out the entire application and will take appropriate actions accordingly.

Regarding the option to clear cache without opening a project, you may remove it manually by going to "C:\Users\"username"\Documents\Captivate Cache" on Windows or "\Users\"username"\Documents\Captivate Cache" on MacOS

    Thank you for your feedback.

I tested this workflow using a software simulation in a sample Captivate 12.6 project, and the mouse pointer remains visible when the slide pauses for user interaction. You may try adjusting the mouse pointer's timing from the timeline to see if that improves the behavior.

Also, if you haven’t already, please update to the latest Captivate version (v12.6) and check if it resolves the issue. You can update via Help > Check for Updates or download the setup directly from: https://adobe.com/products/captivate/vipdownload.html.

    Thank you for your feedback.

You should be able to achieve this scenario by utilizing advanced interactions on your slide to change the state of object to "Clicked" and go to required slide. This way, when the user clicks on the object to go to a slide and revisits the previous slide, it would reflect the updated state of the object.

Kindly elaborate if you have a different requirement so we can suggest further accordingly.

I tested this workflow using a sample project and hyperlink in Captivate 12.6 and it worked fine locally and from a server. If you haven’t already, please update to the latest Captivate version (v12.6) and check if it resolves the issue. You can update via Help > Check for Updates or download the setup directly from: https://adobe.com/products/captivate/vipdownload.html.

    Thank you for your feedback.

The issue with the Accordion widget in Captivate 12.6 has been identified and is planned to be fixed in the upcoming update.

If this is urgent, please confirm your operating system, and we can provide a custom build in the meantime.

    Thank you for your suggestions!

The header and footer blocks are designed to stay fixed at the top and bottom of the page, but we’ll certainly explore the possibility and feasibility of making them persistent on scrolling.

Regarding copying branding blocks across projects — we tested this workflow and were able to copy the header/footer between projects successfully. If you haven’t already, please update to the latest Captivate version (v12.6) and give it a try. You can update via Help > Check for Updates or download the setup directly from: https://adobe.com/products/captivate/vipdownload.html.

As for integrating headers and footers into the theme editor, it’s a great idea. However, currently the theme editor mainly handles formatting elements like fonts and colors.

Please let us know if you have a different requirement or other use cases so we can check further accordingly.
