If I could add to the suggestion here, it would be helpful if Captivate could automatically split your transcript/script into captions of an appropriate length when using the generate text-to-speech feature. With the current workflow, to have well-timed (a few seconds per caption) and appropriately sized captions (not so large that they cover the entire screen), we have to manually split our transcript or longer captions into multiple smaller captions, clicking the "add new caption" button and then double clicking to edit the text for each caption.
Over the course of a narration-heavy project, which could involve a few dozen captions on each slide, this adds up to a lot of time for a process that could go faster with an improved workflow. Ideally, there would be an option to paste the entire transcript for each slide, and to allow Captivate to automatically split the text into appropriately sized captions. We should still be able to edit each caption manually, to ensure high quality captions.
This feature might look similar to YouTube's caption editor in YouTube Studio (screenshot from a video tutorial included for reference). The important thing is that we would hopefully be able to split up our captions appropriately without having to do it manually, and that there would be an easier, more accessibility-friendly option than just copy-pasting the entire transcript into the first caption (which could be a popular workaround for the current workflow, but does not create an ideal end-result for the users who rely on closed captions).

This is still an issue in Captivate 12.6. While the tab order of interactive objects can easily be changed in Tab Order, it is cumbersome if not impossible to change the reading order of noninteractive elements (as explained in the original post).
