It is mind boggling that as much as Adobe is touting this new Captivate how still unusable it is to me as a developer. A lot of enterprise companies still don't need or want responsive slides as the majority of our clients are accessing eLearning through LMSs that are meant to be viewed on desktop or laptop monitors. I couldn't care less if my clients can view it "nicely" on a phone or tablet because literally none of my clients have that ability. The lack of left/right/center alignment is baffling and a real oversight.

I'm using v.13.2 and there is still no way to add SHAPES as of 09/24/26. I have that option when I import Classic CpC files into 13.2 or when I import a PowerPoint, but the minute I want to add a new Cp slide, that option is gone and replaced with widgets.

I agree and here we are almost a year later with no improvement. I work for a state government. Our employes ONLY interact with our content through our LMS and that is viewed only on desktop or laptop monitors. They will never allow us to access this content on phones, tablets, etc. Our computer/laptop monitors have one of two sizes that I must be conscience of when developing. I also need to factor in the "skin" the LMS puts around our content when designing because we would rather more slides than for users to have to scroll up/down/left/right. Currently, the only workaround we have is to upload a Classic or PowerPoint file, but then we are limited on available features for those slides. For instance, widgets cannot be added to these types of slides.
