An error occurred while saving the comment Lieve Weymeis commentedIt is a big stap backwards in this version, throwing away Shared actions and advanced actions, as well as most exposed system variables from the Movie Control category and some more (like the timer system vars). Shared actions were the way to help most of my clients with reusable scripts where they had only to define some parameters. They could transfer those actions from an external library and even use them as templates for advanced actions.
Moreover JS integration has not at all improved, on the contrary.Lieve Weymeis supported this idea · -

An error occurred while saving the comment Lieve Weymeis commentedWe had that possibility in all previous versions of Captivate, similar to the great roundtripping with Photoshop. But this version has thrown all roundtripping in the trash, while I hoped on an improvement with better collaboration with Illusrator, Capture, Color, Animate....

An error occurred while saving the comment Lieve Weymeis commentedFor quiz slides the default captions are part of the Preferences as has always been the case in Captivate. However you cannot export/import Preferences like it was possible in older versions, which is really causing me time loss because I need to create quizzes in multiple languages.
As for part of the theme: that was possible by editing the quizzing master slides in previous versions. However they dumped master slides. -

An error occurred while saving the comment Lieve Weymeis commentedThere has never been a possibility to edit the shortcut keys. As a non-English speaker using a non-US keyboard I fully understand why you are asking for this. Previous versions handled non-US machines rather well, even better than the big Adobe applications (PS, AI) but this new version is not behaving the same way. It was also the case for the now no longer supported XD which used the same framework. Step backwards for Captivate.

An error occurred while saving the comment Lieve Weymeis commentedEven in older versions I almost never used the progress bar because it is just confusing for any non-linear project. I designed workflows with shared actions which showed the real progress in %. Too bad that shared actions have been taken out because they were the biggest time saver ever.

Indeed. Moreover the Delay Next actions has been thrown away, as have the two important timer system variables in ms
cpInfoEpochMS
cpInfoElapsedTimeMS
Those could allow to create an action based on their value but they are no longer available.
