QWERTY compatibilty
The Undo function is mapped to the AZERTY keyboard configuration instead of the QWERTY.
Actually, the undo function is assigned to the CTRL+W shortcut instead of the CRTL+Z. Crtrl+Z close the project. It's really annoing, as the undo function is a convention on Ctrl+Z on all QWERTY keyboard. It's occus in the french version of the new Adobe Captivate.

TOC Navigation Control Missing in New Adobe Captivate
Issue Summary:
In the new version of Adobe Captivate, Table of Contents (TOC) items are enabled from the beginning, allowing users to skip slides without completing them. This undermines the learning flow and defeats the purpose of structured eLearning.
Expected Behavior:
There should be an option or variable to disable TOC items initially, and enable each item only after the corresponding lesson or slide is completed.
Actual Behavior:All TOC items are accessible from the start.
Learners can skip ahead without engaging with the content.
No built-in setting or variable is available…3 votes -
Bug - Mobile course layout and view does not match what I'm seeing within Captivate
When we design our courses in Captivate to look a certain way on Desktop, Tablet, and Phone, the published course design/layout does not match what we designed it to look like in Captivate. The mobile views have screwed up fonts and layout and don't appear the same as we designed them to be. What is the point of having the ability to view and design for different devices if that design doesn't carry over to those devises in the end?? I am including side-by-side screenshots of what a specific slide was designed to look like in Captivate and what it…

Fix the PowerPoint Import
I have a PowerPoint presentation with graphics, text that is bolded and/or italicized, and line drawings.
When I have Captivate import the presentation, it absolutely WRECKS bold or italicized texts within a sentence, and makes line drawings unintelligible.
I have used Captivate as my tool of choice for years.
I sat on my Fortune 500 company's evaluation team when the "new and improved" Captivate came out.
WE DROPPED CAPTIVATE FROM USE because of poor functionality. Now I have my own company and do work for clients. I am evaluating Captivate for several new projects -- but I am not seeing…

Review rendering of transparent background images
Transparent images in PNG or SVG format when used as background are showing a thin line like it was being tiled, even if the tile option is not selected.
In the example attached, I have a simple SVG with an angled corner used as background, and on the bottom-right corner it displays a line of the same colour.
The same happens with PNG images.

Quiz Review locks out retake
If a learner fails a quiz and then they review the quiz and use 'Show Answers' button it locks out options to either retake or continue leaving the Learner in limbo.
In this scenario it should be optioned that they can retake the quiz or if this is not the wanted outcome then Continue with the failed results recorded to LMS.

Need an easy way to edit the visual elements of question and answer slides
In Captivate 13.0, the UI lets you change fonts, colors, and other elements associated with question and answer slides. However, when you preview or publish, these adjustments are overridden by the CSS in the pre-defined Design Options. You can spend a lot of time making design adjustments that don't do anything.
While there appears to be a tech support article regarding editing the Design Option CSS and JSON files, we should not have to work at that level to simply make a visual change.
Also, many of the Design Options do not meet WCAG standards for contrast and accessibility, including…

Bug - audio loading is delayed and then cuts off prematurely.
We are having problems when we have slide-level audio. It does not begin playing at the beginning of the timeline for the slide (appears to be a loading delay) and then once it does load, the audio will cut off prematurely because the slide has reached the end of its timeline. We have been able to do a workaround with extending the duration of the slide by a significant amount and then placing a button on the slide that the user can push to advance to the next slide without having to wait for the timeline to complete, but this…

Bug: Layer blur area under instructions
I have instructions and a blur area in my simulation, and if I move them to the same place the blur area covers the instructions. What would be the point of having instructions if I wanted them blurred? I can't think of a case where one wouldn't want the instructions to be on top of the blur area.

Simplify Quiz design
The ability to remove the quiz feedback captions. In 2019 you can drag them away from the slide to hide them. "Submit All" simplify the process for a range of quiz questions. Allow the selections of buttons that meets the design requirement. such as just a "back" and "next" button on each slide to navigate through the quiz. On the final quiz slide show the "Submit All" button to submit all the answers in one go.

The new Adobe Captivate version lacks a critical feature for eLearning: the ability to restrict the Table of Contents (TOC) and Playbar navigation. In effective eLearning design, it's essential to control access to the TOC and the Next button to ensure learners fully complete each slide before progressing. This functionality was available in Adobe Captivate Classic and is a must-have for tracking learner engagement and completion. Please consider reintroducing this restriction feature in future updates.

Accessibility Bug: Screen readers announce radio buttons incorrectly
Two primary issues.
If using the question slide template, the multiple choice questions always announce as a group of checkboxes with screen readers, even if they are radio buttons. The toggle between single answer and multiple answer changes the state visibly, but not programmatically.
If using the Radio Group interactive component, the radio buttons correctly announce as radios, however, when navigating to the next radio option, the screen reader announces the previously selected option again in addition to the new option.
Example:
A radio group with options A, B and C.With JAWS or NVDA navigate to Option A, "Option…

Crashing during AI Avatar
I have had a couple of attempts to create an AI Avatar for an imported PowerPoint. I was recording for YouTube at the time, submitted the crash using the crash report but thought it might be beneficial to see what I was doing at the time.

Fix the TOC Drag and Drop Grouping Feature
We are experiencing inconsistent performance with the TOC editability. It often crashes or does not work. Specifically, when trying to drag slides into groups, we are not able to drop the slide into the group. We also experience crashing occasionally when trying to rename items in the table of contents. We have gotten it to work in one project, but are having inconsistent results with other projects.
