Hello Shivang,
I feel there may be a misunderstanding regarding the comment I shared. You are still focusing only on the enable/disable option, but I am not sure why this option was considered—this setting is typically used only for quiz slides. If you have experience in e‑learning development, the issue I mentioned would be clearer, but you seem to be looking at it only from a technical perspective. I have explained all the points as simply as possible, but it may be difficult to understand without e‑learning development experience.
To clarify:
The Enable/Disable option in the TOC only allows you to turn the entire TOC on or off—it does not control conditions for individual items.
The requirement is to disable all TOC items initially and enable each item only after its corresponding lesson or slide has been fully completed. An error occurred while saving the comment

Hi Shivang,
I think there’s some confusion about the navigation functionality. What I meant is that there’s no option to disable the menu (TOC) items—not to hide the menu itself. For example, if a learning module contains 50 slides, the menu will display 50 items. These items should appear in a disabled state initially, and users should not be able to click the last slide to complete the course. Instead, the menu items will unlock one by one as the learner progresses through the slides, ensuring sequential navigation.
This means the learner can only move forward in sequence, and previously completed slides can be revisited, but future slides remain locked until reached in order.

Additional Details:
The missing feature is the ability to restrict navigation via TOC and Playbar (Next button) until the learner completes the current slide or interaction.
Why It’s Important:
Without this, learners can skip ahead, which impacts:Learning outcomes
Compliance tracking
Assessment integrityPreviously in Captivate Classic:
Lock TOC navigation
Disable Next button until slide completionCurrent Limitation:
New Captivate doesn’t allow this, so learners can freely navigate.

The header and footer in the new Adobe Captivate version offer very limited UI customization. Unlike the Classic version, there is no option to include essential navigation icons such as Next, Back, Glossary, and Resources. These elements are crucial for building a consistent and user-friendly navigation experience across eLearning modules. Currently, the header and footer only support basic items like course name, page number, and TOC, which restricts design flexibility. Adding support for more customizable UI components would allow developer to create global navigation layouts that enhance usability and learner experience. Please consider expanding the header and footer capabilities to include configurable buttons and icons for richer course navigation.

Hi All,
We are considering autosave feature. We already have ctrl+s to save the project.
Please let me know in case autosave feature will be more feasible rather than having save button on the top.

Hi Shivang,
When replaying the video, users should be able to easily fast‑forward to reach the desired portion. Controlling the video seekbar is not a difficult technical feature to implement, and having an option to limit scrubbing is very helpful—it allows users to rewind only the completed portion of the video, which is especially useful when the video duration is long.
Additionally, the seekbar displays the video's progress, so hiding it is not ideal from a user‑experience perspective.
I kindly request the Captivate team to consider adding this feature.
