Spacebar as shortcut
In all Adobe applications which have a Timeline, the Spacebar is used as shortcut key to play/pause the slide. That worked also perfectly in previous versions of Captivate, if focus was on the Timeline panel.
In version 12 the behavior is inconsistent, sometimes it works, sometimes not at all. Once you switch to using the Play/pause buttons it looks like you lose the focus on the Timeline and Spacebar will not be functional. Rather frustrating to unlearn the use of the Spacebar after almost two decades.

@Andrew Even in older versions of Captivate, the timeline panel needed to be the active panel before the spacebar was functional as shortcut key. However it is not very clear in the new version which 'panel' (sorry for this older term) is active, all is hidden. Timeline panel is a lot more cluttered due to the many levels with blocks. And since version 2008 Timeliine panel is reduced to the title bar and ignored by many newbies.

As of 12.3, you have to click (directly) on an object in the timeline before the spacebar works which is definitely not ideal.
Adobe, please bring back focus anywhere on the timeline for the spacebar to toggle pause/play.
