I just started testing the updated Captivate Classic. Why was the Preview next 5 slides removed?
In the updated Captivate Classic, the Prevew next 5 Slides option is no longer in the Preview drop-down. Why was that removed? If I have 100 slides and I want to check the timings on slides 90-95, I don't want to preview the entire project and try to guess where to click to start my preview. I can't preview just one slide at a time if I am checking the timings when switching from one slide to another.

That option was indeed available in previous versions both for nresponsive and responsive projects. However for non-responsive projects it was completely useless because it was based on SWF-technology which meant is was not relevant for HTML output. Version 11.8.2 took out all SWF-related features, including those Preview methods. Result is the same as before: you should only use F11, Preview HTML in Browser. The Preview method shows also Project but it is exactly the same F11. Play slide has never been a Preview method, still confusingly under the Preview button.
You are correct however: why not replace those options by HTML preview methods as they are available for responsive projects (Fluid Boxes).
I can only offer two possible workarounds:
1. Activate temporarily the TOC in overlay. You still will have to wait until the full project is rendered but you can use navigation by TOC after the rendering to move more quickly to other slides.
2. Hide temporarily a bunch of slides - if possible (could mess up some relations between slides). -

This is important of course. But the point should be made in the Adobe Captivate Classic Give Feedback section.

This is so important when building, it takes so much more time when you only want to preview one or two slides. Why remove good features?
