Importing OAMs
Due to the 'renewed' terminology the word Animation is now used for the former Effects. However you'll never have the power of real animation tools in Captivate. I used to import OAMs created in Animate, and animated GIFs created either in Photoshop or in Animate. Please give use that feature back!

It is very confusing now. The fact that the former Effects in Captivate now are labeled as 'animations' means to me that they do not want to import any other type of animations. I used to import Animated GIFs (created in Photoshop) and OAMs created in Animate all the time. Even animations which could collaborate with Captivate using JS.
All collaboration with other Adobe apps seems to be banned. This is very saddening. -

This suggestion/idea is related to a much larger issue or lack in Captivate 12. It's the unavailability of the option to import Web Objects into a Captivate project. A Web Object inserted in previous Captivate versions via an Iframe element allowed to incorporate PDFs, web pages, Animate projects and much more. So the Web Object should be brought back to the new captivate.

Allow importing Adobe Animate Animations in Captivate 12. That was a feature that I used in Captivate 11, and I will need in the future.
