undo button on drag and drops
the reset button is great but an undo option to undo the last thing you moved would be very helpful so you dont have to begin the interaction from the start.

Spacebar as shortcut
In all Adobe applications which have a Timeline, the Spacebar is used as shortcut key to play/pause the slide. That worked also perfectly in previous versions of Captivate, if focus was on the Timeline panel.
In version 12 the behavior is inconsistent, sometimes it works, sometimes not at all. Once you switch to using the Play/pause buttons it looks like you lose the focus on the Timeline and Spacebar will not be functional. Rather frustrating to unlearn the use of the Spacebar after almost two decades.4 votes -
Zooming in should keep focus on selected item
This is an old pain inherited from previous versions. Default view percentage is 'Best Fit' which is great. But when increasing the percentage to focus on a detail (like a button) I tend to select that item first, and expect by zooming in that the selected item is kept in focus. That used to be the case until version 8 or 9, but was also lost in CP2019. It is very frustrating.

Apply theme to all course elements
Some widgets/elements have icons or states that do not use the custom theme. They seem to use the colors from the default Light theme but should be using the custom theme applied to the project. See attachments showing the default blue instead of my custom theme.

Add GIF as a supported filetype for Image Background on the slide
If you use a media block, GIF files are listed in the filetypes dropdown. However, if you use 'Image background' for the slide, GIF files are not listed in the filetypes dropdown. If you manually enter the path to a GIF, they import as expected.

Languages for text to speech, windows language support.
In Classic Captivate its possible to add text to speech support for languages supported from Microsoft Windows own (local) library. That feature would be much needed i guess for a lot of people, and could be considered a quick fix for massive language support instead of having a Captive Voices implementation.

Animation on a block
It would be a time saver to be able to add an animation to a block. For now, only components of a block can have animation.
For example, if a block have a background, the block can't be animated.

Reorder interactions
When I select a step in my interaction (Advanced Action) I cannot reorder this step to be the first of all my actions using either the drag and drop method or the reorder up button.

Allow for cropped views of cutout characters in Asset Store
I was using the single and two-character media blocks and realized that I could not select a cropped view of the characters like I could in previous versions of Adobe Captivate. I know I can crop these images after but this was a nice feature.

Bug - Short Answer question slide is broken if you include a quotation symbol " in your answer
I had a short answer question where the answer was "1"=20'" and I kept getting a "Something Went Wong" error. After recreating the question several time, I eventually started going one character at a time to see if there was an issue with the answer. As soon as I removed the quote symbol the question began to function as intended.

Bug: "include in quiz" function does not send any points to LMS
By unsing the "include in quiz" function with 1 point and setting export reporting to LMS to Quiz does not trigger any event in LMS. I noticed the setting "points for quiz" cannot be set to a number of points, just can be switched from points to percent.

Include accent marks when typing directly on Cp
I've been trying to type in text with accent marks, and Cp won't display it. It'll display just the text without the marks. This is important for us designers who work a lot on courses that in languages other than English. In my case, I work a lot with Spanish, and it's just unacceptable to be typing the text on another tool (MS Word, notepad, etc) so I do the copying and pasting into Cp. Please, fix this ASAP.

Add options like Double click and Right click for the Click boxes in simulation.
I think what challenge we are facing now is, if I have added a Click Box manually to the simulation slide, it does not show options for Double click or Right click functionality. As I always reuse old simulation by just replacing screenshots, these click box functionality I need most. Currently in 13 version it only work with single left click for the Click boxes.
I am adding an image that show the options for UI if you are going to add these functionalities

Fix the PowerPoint Import
I have a PowerPoint presentation with graphics, text that is bolded and/or italicized, and line drawings.
When I have Captivate import the presentation, it absolutely WRECKS bold or italicized texts within a sentence, and makes line drawings unintelligible.
I have used Captivate as my tool of choice for years.
I sat on my Fortune 500 company's evaluation team when the "new and improved" Captivate came out.
WE DROPPED CAPTIVATE FROM USE because of poor functionality. Now I have my own company and do work for clients. I am evaluating Captivate for several new projects -- but I am not seeing…

Bug - audio loading is delayed and then cuts off prematurely.
We are having problems when we have slide-level audio. It does not begin playing at the beginning of the timeline for the slide (appears to be a loading delay) and then once it does load, the audio will cut off prematurely because the slide has reached the end of its timeline. We have been able to do a workaround with extending the duration of the slide by a significant amount and then placing a button on the slide that the user can push to advance to the next slide without having to wait for the timeline to complete, but this…

allow free movement of blocks
The interface using a fixed block-based layout is awful. Jumping through hoops just to design a slide with a video where I want it and a text box next to it.

Bug: Hotspot callout size is not reflected in actual course
The actual callout size when previewing or publishing the course is considerably larger than what is shown in Captivate. Padding settings are not respected.

TOC Navigation Control Missing in New Adobe Captivate
Issue Summary:
In the new version of Adobe Captivate, Table of Contents (TOC) items are enabled from the beginning, allowing users to skip slides without completing them. This undermines the learning flow and defeats the purpose of structured eLearning.
Expected Behavior:
There should be an option or variable to disable TOC items initially, and enable each item only after the corresponding lesson or slide is completed.
Actual Behavior:All TOC items are accessible from the start.
Learners can skip ahead without engaging with the content.
No built-in setting or variable is available…3 votes
