vertical alignment option within image grid block

I am able to select a PPT file for import. But, when I choose to import a Classic Captivate file, I receive a beta message and then click Continue. Next I just receive a Captivate Classic Import (Beta) message that is spooling. I don't ever receive the window to select a file to import. Please help! My Captivate version is 13.1.1.200

Alignment panel does not have any alignment options.
As the title says, the alignment and spacing panel does not actually show any alignment options. It only gives padding options.

Drop shadow should conform to pixel edge, not container.
When using a png asset, adding a drop shadow to that object should conform to the pixels in the PNG, not the square permitter/container.

Enable CTRL click to multi select and apply appearance.
CTRL click would be helpful to multi select and apply appearance to several objects at once.

allow free movement of blocks
The interface using a fixed block-based layout is awful. Jumping through hoops just to design a slide with a video where I want it and a text box next to it.

Slide Customization
While the slide and widget templates are helpful, it would also be useful to allow for customization of blank slides. This allows the designer to create custom layouts much as Articulate Storyline does

Need an easy way to edit the visual elements of question and answer slides
In Captivate 13.0, the UI lets you change fonts, colors, and other elements associated with question and answer slides. However, when you preview or publish, these adjustments are overridden by the CSS in the pre-defined Design Options. You can spend a lot of time making design adjustments that don't do anything.
While there appears to be a tech support article regarding editing the Design Option CSS and JSON files, we should not have to work at that level to simply make a visual change.
Also, many of the Design Options do not meet WCAG standards for contrast and accessibility, including…

Object alignment against slide
Provide suggested alignment against slide when moving objects so that object aligns with slide and is not off-center if not desired.
Here you can see that the ppt import imported the black box, but did not align to the slide in a central manner so the box is partially off of the slide. Need to be able to center box against the slide.

Buttons in branding Footer
The footer is a very common spot for custom navigation buttons. Why are buttons not an option in the footer?!?
This should be an extremely simple fix. Just add the button functions to it.

When resizing objects, show the pixels measure.
When objects are not mean to have their height automatically adjusted, it would be obvious and nice to see the measurement in pixels, either on the Visual Preferences panel or when close to the arrow cursor when dragging up and down.
It would be also great to be able to customise the width and height of simple images and buttons in the same way.
I don't understand why Captivate does not have a more advanced user interface like so many other Adobe products like Photoshop, Illustrator or even Adobe Express. This is so damaging to the product's reputation...

[Bug] `textProps.fontWeight` is ignored during rendering
Version: 13.0
Problem:
textPropsvalues such asfontWeightset indesignOption.jsonare displayed correctly in the Captivate UI, but are ignored in the final rendering and overridden by inline styles (e.g.,font-weight: normal;). OthertextProps(liketextAlign) work as expected.{ "tag": "slide-item-subtitle", "preset": "text-body-6", "customStyles": { "all": {} }, "customProperties": { "alignmentAndSpacing": {}, "textProps": { "fontWeight": "600", "textAlign": "center" } } },In the rendered output, inline styles appear such as:
font-weight: normal;Impact:
- Inconsistent results between editor preview and actual output
- Paragraph styles cannot be reliably overridden
- UI feedback is misleading (shows correct…1 vote -

The new Adobe Captivate version does not allow placing objects in a custom order. It only supports drag-and-drop using predefined templates. For example, if we need to position titles, images, icons, or buttons freely on the slide, this flexibility is missing. Currently, all custom design options are limited, forcing us to use only what Captivate provides.

Improve documentation for design options
The design options concept is the most powerful feature in Captivate 12 and the key to building custom layouts. However, documentation is very limited. It is often unclear which JSON properties are actually supported for each widget, and many entries defined in the JSON are not transformed by Captivate.
Suggested improvement:
- Provide an example.json file for every widget, showing all possible properties (“grammar”) of the design options.
- Especially for more complex widgets (accordion, tabs, carousel, etc.), this would help developers understand what can be customized.
- Include notes for properties that are not yet transformed but are planned…2 votes
