Bug - Simulations - Typing Text discolouration
In creating an OpenSearch simulation, I have noticed there is discolouration of certain elements (per attachment; it's an orange-brown overlay). Captivate never told me it was going to do it, nor did it ever let me control any aspect of it. And the only way to get rid of it is to get rid of Typing Text, making the whole thing moot.
I'll use DaVinci Resolve to record a demo and forgo training and assessment because this is one more way the All-New Captivate is All Buggy.2 votes -
Add options like Double click and Right click for the Click boxes in simulation.
I think what challenge we are facing now is, if I have added a Click Box manually to the simulation slide, it does not show options for Double click or Right click functionality. As I always reuse old simulation by just replacing screenshots, these click box functionality I need most. Currently in 13 version it only work with single left click for the Click boxes.
I am adding an image that show the options for UI if you are going to add these functionalities

Bug: Make click box reflect actual settings in Captivate
When hand cursor is turned on, the area where the hand cursor appears is MUCH larger than the area assigned in Captivate. Also why did you remove the true square box to make the corners rounded? And why do I have no control over this? I can make it a star but I can't make it square? Please explain the rationale behind this.

Allow autoplay of simulations
Setting the course to autoplay doesn't work on courses that are only simulations. If that is by design, it should be made clearer.

Bug: "Apply appearance" is only partial
When copying the appearance between instruction boxes, only certain aspects of the boxes are copied (such as border and background colour) while others are not (font face and box corner radius).

Bug: Layer blur area under instructions
I have instructions and a blur area in my simulation, and if I move them to the same place the blur area covers the instructions. What would be the point of having instructions if I wanted them blurred? I can't think of a case where one wouldn't want the instructions to be on top of the blur area.

Upgrading to Captivate 13 has broken the 'download background image' function for software sims.
I used this function regularly before but when I upgraded to Captivate 13 trying to use this function now just haywires Captivate out. After clicking this button I am unable to change slides or save my progress, forcing me to just force close and restart Captivate.

Bug: FMR audio glitches
Audio in FMR slides sometimes doesn't play; sometimes it sounds stretched and low pitched.

Bug: Consolidating different simulations into a single file swaps FMR videos
Because Captivate constantly crashes during the recording of simulations, I've decided to record shorter simulations and then consolidate them into a single file. The problem is, especially for FMR slides, the video is getting swapped — i.e., the audio is correct for that slide, but the video shown in the preview (and the SCORM output) is from a different slide. Captivate, however, shows the video as if everything were fine, so there is really no way fix it because for Captivate it's not broken.

Bug: Recording simulations as a demo, a training, and an assessment at the same time doesn't usually work
When recording is finished, at least one of them crashes.

Add a way to keep the arrow pointer visible after the animation on a software sim.
Currently, when the animation of the pointer is complete, the pointer disappears. There should be a way to separate the animation from the arrow graphic on the timeline so you can have the pointer persist on the screen until the end of the slide. This would be particularly helpful if you have audio over a particular slide on a simulation that is describing movements. You could then sync the movement with where it is mentioning it in the audio clip, but have the arrow pointer continue to point to the place until the end of the clip.

Simulation Blur Area Enhancements
In software simulations where private information is consistently visible (ex: Financial Institutions, Healthcare Systems, etc.), it is difficult to make the sizing of blur areas consistent across slides in Assessment & Training Software Simulations. This could be distracting for end users, and doesn't enable the quality I'd like to deliver. Can you add the ability to copy/paste these blocks, input pixel measurements, or some kind of setting to allow the blur to appear on subsequent slides?

Mouse Pointer Settings
Allow for editing the color of the mouse pointer or include the one that looks exactly like a mouse on your computer. We want to be as realistic as possible and the mouse that looked most accurate in Adobe Captivate Classic is not available in the All-New version of Captivate. The closest looking one is gray, but there is no way to change the color of it to white.

Software Simulation Not Capturing on Training with 12.6
I just recorded a software simulation this morning and it did not capture any click boxes. I am using 12.6 and I was recording on my primary monitor.

Persistant "clicked" state for click object in simulation after returning to the slide
Currently in Captivate 12 simulation, clicking an object to go down one path, then returning to the original slide does not result in that item persisting in the "clicked" state. (My goal is to force the learner to click on every item, which will bring them to another slide and back, before proceeding to a feedback page).

Text-to-speech Missing on Software Simulations
It seems after a software simulation mouse click is added to your project, you can't add text-to-speech. The work around I found was to remove all mouse clicks, then add the text-to-speech, and then go back and add the mouse clicks. It shouldn't be that picky.

Software Simulation: Instructions Box, unable to Change States
Bug: When doing the software simulation, the instructions box does not show any states. When I preview: it has a hint box but I can't change anything on there. I want to be able to remove it.

Bug Report: On a simulation slide, deleting an object such as a clickable box does not delete the interactions for that object
There is a bug on the simulation slides in Captivate 12. If you add an additional click box, and interaction for that click box is automatically populated in the interactions pane. If you delete that click box, it is removed from the timeline, but the interaction remains. I have not yet found a way to delete the interaction.

Simulation highlight boxes in theme editor
It would be very helpful to have simulation elements design properties be added to the theme editor so that they do not need to be manually changed in each project. I believe this was a feature in Captivate classic.
