Importing OAMs
Due to the 'renewed' terminology the word Animation is now used for the former Effects. However you'll never have the power of real animation tools in Captivate. I used to import OAMs created in Animate, and animated GIFs created either in Photoshop or in Animate. Please give use that feature back!

Better Typography - Web fonts - options/weights
I only see a handful of google fonts as options and no Typekit fonts in captivate 12. It is missing big ones like Open Sans, Robot and Inter.
Allow us to use these or add our own custom web fonts.
System fonts do not include all weights and styles available.
While all other adobe apps support using alternative characters, Capitvate does not. You all have been one of the leaders in implementing web font technology and features, what happened?

The ability to not have Black Bars on Video Slides when the video resizes
When placing a slide video in on the "canvas" it would be good to not have the video have massive black bars at the top and bottom.
Kind of makes the video aspect ration options irrelevant, when regardless of what you select there, the video has massive black bars on the top and bottom in a a 1:1 square

Add Closed Captions to pop up and object audio.
Closed captions should be available to edit in bulk or easily in some way. There should also be a way to caption object and pop up sound to be fully 508 compliant.

Link javascript file to project
Include an option to link an external javascript file to a Captivate project. In Cp 12 in particular such a link would be good in the "Project properties" under PUBLISH SETTINGS. An external js file would allow a sophisticated use of moderrn JS within a project. It would also go along well with the concept of ADD JAVASCRIPT CODE TO THE PUBLISHED HTML AT RUNTIME, formulated on https://helpx.adobe.com/uk/captivate/help/javascript-interface-adobe-captivate.html.

Allow text entry boxes to be fully customizable like Captivate 2019
- Allow auto submit w/o needing to hit Enter or Submit
- Allow TEB height to be adjustable
- Allow padding to be adjustable so I can use bigger text size without making the box taller

Enable Edit in Audition like there was in Captivate Classic and in Premiere Pro
There should be the option to edit audio directly in Audition, save changes and update in Captivate automatically, just like in Premiere Pro.

header
Our company needs to be able to mark a header and footer on each page. It would be nice if this were available. Page numbers would also be welcome.

Text to speech panel open when moving from slide to slide
I've been entering many slides of text to speech and I have to open the text to speech panel for each time I navigate to another slide. To me it would make sense if the software would keep a panel open until I select to display another.

Multilingual support
our courses have more than one target audience. we have videos on Sharepoint that historically we have been able to embed. This is no longer possible in Captivate 12.
The videos in SharePoint are capable of hosting captions in many languages. It we cannot embed these videos anymore, we would need a way to accommodate captions with in the Captivate CC functionality

increase the volume for recording audio
When recording audio in Classic Captivate I have the opportunity to calibrate and can see my volume changing with the volume of my laptop.
When recording audio in the New Captivate, while I can calibrate my volume, I don't see any difference on the calibration screen when I change my input volume from my laptop.
The result in the New Captivate is that the audio is too quiet. I then have to go to each slide, individually, and reset the audio to best input in order to hear it. While it's a hassle to update each slide, the bigger problem…

when the screen size gets smaller the buttons will stack vertically even when there is enough sace for them to be side by side.
when you add a set of buttons they seem to act odd. it sometimes even seems to get the orientation mixed up.
I suggest giving us more control over the orientation of the buttons.

Support for Captivate on MacOS Sonoma
It's about time to get Captivate ready for the MacOS 14 Sonoma. In the Syestem Requirements it still says: "Note: Captivate isn't yet supported on Sonoma."

Update the online documentation
Unless I'm being very unobservant, It seems like all the online documentation for Captivate is for the old version. I keep trying to accomplish basic tasks such as changing the dimensions of the project, and am getting nowhere. This is a really unintuitive piece of software.
