  2. Certificate widget exits the slide unexpectedly

I have a certificate widget on the last slide of my project. The Certificate Download is toggled ON. I have noticed on several occasions that when I try to click the Certificate Download icon in the top right of the certificate, the project exits and completes the exit action specified in the Preferences > Project > Project End, before I can click on the Certificate Download icon. I have added two buttons below the certificate widget, and the expected behavior is that I have all the time I need to click the Certificate Download icon, and then click one of…

  3. Bug: Hotspot callout size is not reflected in actual course

The actual callout size when previewing or publishing the course is considerably larger than what is shown in Captivate. Padding settings are not respected.

  4. QWERTY compatibilty

The Undo function is mapped to the AZERTY keyboard configuration instead of the QWERTY.
Actually, the undo function is assigned to the CTRL+W shortcut instead of the CRTL+Z. Crtrl+Z close the project.

It's really annoing, as the undo function is a convention on Ctrl+Z on all QWERTY keyboard. It's occus in the french version of the new Adobe Captivate.

  5. This Is Where Good Ideas Come to Die

If the information here is never going to see the light of day in the form of actionable tickets, what exactly are we doing here? You keep ignoring bugs reported years ago; what hope do I have that anything I report will even be looked at?

TOC Navigation Control Missing in New Adobe Captivate
    Issue Summary:
In the new version of Adobe Captivate, Table of Contents (TOC) items are enabled from the beginning, allowing users to skip slides without completing them. This undermines the learning flow and defeats the purpose of structured eLearning.
    Expected Behavior:
There should be an option or variable to disable TOC items initially, and enable each item only after the corresponding lesson or slide is completed.
    Actual Behavior:

All TOC items are accessible from the start.
Learners can skip ahead without engaging with the content.
No built-in setting or variable is available…

  7. BUG - when retaking failed quiz, learners get locked out if they exit SCORM and re-enter

When a learner fails the quiz, and presses the retake button, they are getting frozen out if they exit the lesson and re-enter. This does not happen on the first attempt - only when retaking. We've had multiple learners report this error and there is no way to fix it via the settings, it's a bug in Captivate.

To clarify, review mode is not enabled. The actual submit button is greyed out and changed to the disabled state. Please see image.

  8. Include accent marks when typing directly on Cp

I've been trying to type in text with accent marks, and Cp won't display it. It'll display just the text without the marks. This is important for us designers who work a lot on courses that in languages other than English. In my case, I work a lot with Spanish, and it's just unacceptable to be typing the text on another tool (MS Word, notepad, etc) so I do the copying and pasting into Cp. Please, fix this ASAP.

  10. During import, some Classic slides don't import or import with nothing on them.

During import, some Classic slides don't import or seemingly import with nothing on them. This is most likely due to unsupported objects on the Classic slides. It would be nice if at least a truly blank slide was created with the slide name of the "deleted" slides, so we know that we need to recreate that slide and can do so immediately. On empty imported slides that had unsupported objects, it appears that we cannot preview the lesson with these. In fact, when we try to edit the slide, the lesson often freezes and closes. So, the current fix is…

  12. [Feature] Support for custom slide templates in the Assets panel

    Version: 13.0

    Problem:
The Assets panel currently allows importing only Adobe-provided example slides. Unfortunately, there is no mechanism to manage and distribute custom slide templates within a team. This leads to unnecessary manual effort and makes it harder to maintain consistent layouts across larger projects and teams.

    Suggestion:
Extend the Assets panel to allow importing and centrally managing custom slide templates. Ideally, this should integrate with existing Creative Cloud mechanisms.

    Benefits:
    - faster production through template reuse,
    - consistent corporate design,
    - improved team collaboration,
    - reduced redundant work.

  13. [Captivate 13] Make widgets more useable, by treating them (and their components) as proper slide objects

Every Widget so far added to Captivate 13 has been a massive step back in terms of usability, customization and user-friendliness. It's like we traveled back in time to 15 years ago. Seriously, since 12.6+ Captivate felt like the worst way to do eLearning, everything is done in the worst, most obtuse way possible, and somehow we lost features that the software had since inception.

Right now, in Captivate 13, if you use a Widget, you're locked out of most actions/interactions/triggers that Captivate normally offers, because they are treated as entirely self-contained, separate feature. Objects within Widget do not qualify…

  14. Bug - Mobile course layout and view does not match what I'm seeing within Captivate

When we design our courses in Captivate to look a certain way on Desktop, Tablet, and Phone, the published course design/layout does not match what we designed it to look like in Captivate. The mobile views have screwed up fonts and layout and don't appear the same as we designed them to be. What is the point of having the ability to view and design for different devices if that design doesn't carry over to those devises in the end?? I am including side-by-side screenshots of what a specific slide was designed to look like in Captivate and what it…

  15. Add options like Double click and Right click for the Click boxes in simulation.

I think what challenge we are facing now is, if I have added a Click Box manually to the simulation slide, it does not show options for Double click or Right click functionality. As I always reuse old simulation by just replacing screenshots, these click box functionality I need most. Currently in 13 version it only work with single left click for the Click boxes.

I am adding an image that show the options for UI if you are going to add these functionalities

  16. Fix the PowerPoint Import

I have a PowerPoint presentation with graphics, text that is bolded and/or italicized, and line drawings.

When I have Captivate import the presentation, it absolutely WRECKS bold or italicized texts within a sentence, and makes line drawings unintelligible.

I have used Captivate as my tool of choice for years.
I sat on my Fortune 500 company's evaluation team when the "new and improved" Captivate came out.
WE DROPPED CAPTIVATE FROM USE because of poor functionality.

Now I have my own company and do work for clients. I am evaluating Captivate for several new projects -- but I am not seeing…

  17. Personal Asset Library + Personal Presets

I use Captivate and Camtasia. Camtasia has a personal asset library you can build out yourself. Like if you customize a certain effect you can save it as a preset but also if you upload an asset you can save it in your library for future use. Both of these features would be really helpful and save me a lot of time.

  18. Bug - Simulations - Typing Text discolouration

In creating an OpenSearch simulation, I have noticed there is discolouration of certain elements (per attachment; it's an orange-brown overlay). Captivate never told me it was going to do it, nor did it ever let me control any aspect of it. And the only way to get rid of it is to get rid of Typing Text, making the whole thing moot.
I'll use DaVinci Resolve to record a demo and forgo training and assessment because this is one more way the All-New Captivate is All Buggy.

  19. Visible Scrolling Options for Continuous Scroll Slides and/or Projects

It is not inherent to all learners that they need to scroll down to view more with slides or projects that continue beyond the screen view.

For projects and/or slides that require the use of scrolling to view the entire slide or project, add a visibility that indicates the learner will need to scroll down to view the rest of the slide. Either a customizable scroll bar and/or up/down arrows that appear and remain visible for directing the learner during the training. Make it accessible for screen readers and keyboard only users.

  20. allow free movement of blocks

The interface using a fixed block-based layout is awful. Jumping through hoops just to design a slide with a video where I want it and a text box next to it.
