Custom Themes Prior to Recording Software Simulations
It would be amazing to be able to apply a theme prior to recording a Software Simulation to decrease the amount of editing that has to be done after the recording. Specifically, it would be helpful if the Instructions component color and font could either be defined prior to recording. And it would be thrilling if I could edit the Instructions component color and/or font AFTER recording and have the option to "Apply to all slides" like you can with the Mouse properties. Right now, the Instructions color and font have to be changed one slide at a time after…

Align slide directions with direction of step being taken
When a user click in the forward direction it makes sense to have a default slide direction with the next slide coming from the right. But when they click in the backwards direction, it is visually confusing to have a previous slide arrive from the same (future) direction.
Like turning pages in a book, going back should not look the same as going forward.7 votes -
Improve click-to-reveal widget
Click-to-reveal widget is basically unusable as-is. The amount of text you can fit is very short and the placeholder frame doesn't expand to accommodate it, even if you remove the image/title. What you end up with is a tiny sliver of text in a much bigger box, with an equally tiny scrollbar. The pop-up window should ideally resize to fit text (within reason) but in any case, removing components like title/image should increase the space available for body text.

Add More Buttons. Need more than three (3) Built-In.
Currently the BUTTONS option is only three (3) buttons - need more. Our Learners/Employees need forced navigation. We want to use the built-in Buttons, but three (3) will not work. Minimum of Five would work well.

SVGs should not be cropped to the placeholder icon
When using the SVG media block, custom SVGs are always cropped to the form and size of the placeholder which is cicular or square. That was never the case when using SVGs in older versions, and is also not the case for bitmap images, which can resize to the placeholder. I create the SVGs in Illustrator, and of course I will lose the chosen font if I don't convert text to vectors. That I can understand, but not the cropping

Bring back object styles.
Being able to apply universal changes across a large quantity of objects across all slides was one of the big reasons why I prefer Captivate 2019 to Storyline. This saves me so much time and I can use this for future trainings made for the same company.

increase the volume for recording audio
When recording audio in Classic Captivate I have the opportunity to calibrate and can see my volume changing with the volume of my laptop.
When recording audio in the New Captivate, while I can calibrate my volume, I don't see any difference on the calibration screen when I change my input volume from my laptop.
The result in the New Captivate is that the audio is too quiet. I then have to go to each slide, individually, and reset the audio to best input in order to hear it. While it's a hassle to update each slide, the bigger problem…

Change margins of text in carousel widget.
Without an image the text spreads across the screen, which is far to wide of a line length for on-text reading. If there is already a way to do this, please make it more obvious. I spent way longer than I should have before giving up. Honestly, it's a terrible design that you can only change these margins on some element. Don't even get me started elements have handles that don't do anything (resize). It's as though the developer have no concern for standardized user interfaces, which is what really makes things intuitive and easy. Why must we constantly click…

Bug in Themes: Not importing custom theme
Frequently when importing my custom theme, it doesn't change the theme but tells me it is already imported. This usually requires reusing existing courses to create new ones with the correct theme. See attached image for the bugged behavior and the other showing the correct theme.

Changing font in Theme Editor did not apply
In the Theme Editor, I changed the font for Radio Buttons in the UI components section. After clicking Apply and adding a new True/False question, the font selected in the Theme Editor did not appear

Allow customizing scrollbar
The scrollbar on the side when something is taller than the standard window size is very hard to see and users may not recognize that it's there. Allow customization of this to make it stand out.
On the same vein, allow buttons that scroll to a fixed anchor on the slide if you want to be able to jump down

Menu is not costumized
It's impossible to customized the menu, like to block to access slides not visited.

Control(Command)/Shift Select
If I have many blocks or slides I need to select to either copy or delete, I cannot control/command or shift select them to delete them all at once. With the slowness of the software (once you have thirty or more slides filled with blocks), this becomes a painstakingly slow task. It would be helpful to be able to select multiple slides or blocks at once.

animation triggered by the scroll position
Like in Elementor, it would be nice to have an animation triggerd by the scoll position. It would help keep the learners engage.

Bug - duplicating a slide with shortcut CTRL+D
I get an error while duplicationg a slide with several widgets and media objects (just pictures + text and just one short own made quiz, no videos) by pressing CTRL+D on keyboard (Windows OS, Charm Version EN 12.1.0.16).
Duplicating using mouse right click works.

Export/Import Preferences
There are no longer Global Preferences, which you could set from the Welcome screen in Captivate Classic. That is already very bad, but not being able to export a set of Preferences and import it in a new project is really CRITICAL for localisation. I always had a set of Preferences for French, Dutch, Italian, German ready to import if I needed to have Quizzing labels in that particular language. This is more important than missing the spell control for those languages.

Icons for Text and image block
It would nice to be able to add an icon to the title and an other one to a paragraph block.

I am trying out the all-new Adobe Captivate. It looks like I can only publish in HTML and not a SCORM file. Is this not possible?
When using the all-new Adobe Captivate to create training modules, I need to save the file as a SCORM 2004 file to be able to upload it to my LMS software. Is this capability not available in the new version as it is in the Classic?
