Right click on block and select move to reposition
Sometimes, selecting and moving blocks to other positions is challenging, especially when you want to move a block to the end of a slide. It would be helpful to right-click on an empty area of a block, select Move, and then use the keyboard cursor arrows to move a block up or down.

Bug: Copy & Paste Between Projects
Copy and Paste between projects has now been included, but many slides crash upon pasting into the new project. I can paste some slides with no issues, but others cause the program to crash. I can reproduce the crash over and over, but can't seem to narrow down the reason why some slides cause the crash. I can narrow down to particular slides however. Also, add the ability to Drag & Drop slides between projects. Captivate 12.5

Allow the Timeline to be moved away from the stage to make screen management easier.
In previous versions of Captivate, I was able to grab the timeline and place it anywhere I wanted on my monitors. I could then see the stage and timeline all at once. It was much more efficient.

Include Master Slide in the new captivate.
It is easier for us to automatically set our slide background images and text.

Click box interaction
I really miss smart shapes and being able to put click boxes wherever I want on slides that are 'regular' slides, not software sim slides. For instance, if you have a map and want to make parts of the map clickable.
Hotspots are OK , you can change the opacity to 0 and have an invisible area to click... but I can't add an action to it to do something like take a user to another slide.
As a workaround I use a software simulation slide and change the background image. Then I add click boxes for the areas I want to be clickable and load images into highlight boxes for things like characters. Please see the attached image, I am not able to upload a .cpt file on this platform.
An interaction where you can add clickboxes anywhere you want in the block I would be happy to have! Especially if I can position images, text, etc underneath the click boxes.

Simulation highlight boxes in theme editor
It would be very helpful to have simulation elements design properties be added to the theme editor so that they do not need to be manually changed in each project. I believe this was a feature in Captivate classic.

make preview match what I see in Captivate
When I am creating slides in Captivate and go to preview them, often what I see on the preview is different than what i see on the main Captivate screen. This is extremely frustrating. See attached pics. Why are they different?

Add pause to a triggered object audio
I would love to see a pause method added to a triggered object audio. So, for instance, if a button has audio assigned to it (via Play Media, not slide audio), then clicking the button would play the audio, clicking again would pause the audio, clicking the button again would restart the audio from where it was paused, and so on.

Allow customization of alignment and spacing properties for different responsive views
Similar to how we can set different font sizes for desktop, tablet, and mobile views, I would like to be able to set the parameters of the Alignment and Spacing pane for each view - desktop, tablet, and mobile.
By default, they should all match (i.e. when I set the parameters for the desktop view, those carry over to tablet and mobile) but I would like the option to set different widths for content on tablet/mobile views.
On desktop, I may have an image background, so I have the text content fit into 60% to allow users to see the image. On mobile, however, the text is more important than the image, so I’d like to independently set the mobile content width to something like 90% without affecting the desktop width.
I also may want 100px of padding on desktop view, but this could be too much for a mobile view.

Custom Themes Prior to Recording Software Simulations
It would be amazing to be able to apply a theme prior to recording a Software Simulation to decrease the amount of editing that has to be done after the recording. Specifically, it would be helpful if the Instructions component color and font could either be defined prior to recording. And it would be thrilling if I could edit the Instructions component color and/or font AFTER recording and have the option to "Apply to all slides" like you can with the Mouse properties. Right now, the Instructions color and font have to be changed one slide at a time after recording a Software Simulation and it's very time-consuming. Thanks!

Importing OAMs
Due to the 'renewed' terminology the word Animation is now used for the former Effects. However you'll never have the power of real animation tools in Captivate. I used to import OAMs created in Animate, and animated GIFs created either in Photoshop or in Animate. Please give use that feature back!

Link javascript file to project
Include an option to link an external javascript file to a Captivate project. In Cp 12 in particular such a link would be good in the "Project properties" under PUBLISH SETTINGS. An external js file would allow a sophisticated use of moderrn JS within a project. It would also go along well with the concept of ADD JAVASCRIPT CODE TO THE PUBLISHED HTML AT RUNTIME, formulated on https://helpx.adobe.com/uk/captivate/help/javascript-interface-adobe-captivate.html.

Button Disabled State is not working
If I select the Button and show states, it shows a 'disabled' state, though it is grayed out and not selectable. If I use any action to set the button to disabled - the 'Normal' state is shown, though the button is not selectable (it does not have a hand icon and does not react to clicking it).
Maybe I am not understanding how the disabled state works? Why can't I change the appearance, though there is a disabled 'state' when the button is set to disabled?

Bug: Closed Captions Variable doesn't work
If you hide the closed captions by setting the variable $$Project.ClosedCaptions$$ to false, the closed captions can no longer be displayed even if you set the variable to true again. This means you cannot use your own button to hide and show the Closed Captions.

{Bug} Random duplication of variables
I created 5 variables to test out the new variable system. I created these variables on a single slide and assigned them to buttons.
I then began programming advanced actions with the buttons on the same slide and I realized there was an entire list of duplicated variables all from the initial 5 that were created.
I did not duplicate the buttons on this slide, nor did I duplicate the slide itself.
- The variables couldnt be deleted until I saved the file and reopened it.

Typewriter bugs
When applying an Entrance Typewriter animation on more than one text in a slide, and the texts are staggered on the timeline, only the first animation will appear. Sometimes it will only appear if the first text starts from the first frame. If you delete the animation on the first text, and keep it on the second text which appears later the animation never plays. It is a rather inconsistent bug, which I explored with multiple slides, Text Blocks and Media Blocks containing text components.

Delete unused items
Deleting unused items keep the source files smaller and makes it efficient for the Captivate app to handle large projects. Please, bring back this useful feature from CP2019.
In the attached image, you will notice the significant difference between the file with unused items and without those items.6 votesThis feature is already available in 12.2 update.
