feedback multistate object in quiz
At this moment the default position of that multistate object is at the top. However that means that the control panel for the 3 layouts is overlapping the feedback messages during Preview. It would be better to put that default location to the bottom.
BTW, it would be nice to have the Show 'captions' remain active until they are hidden again by the developer. Now you have to show them individually on each slide, which means a lot of time loss when editing the content of those messages, since you need to scroll down in the properties panel to find…3 votes -
Multiple choice Multiple answers: checkboxes please
For a MCQ slides with multiple correct answers, I would expect checkboxes instead of radio buttons. This is a globally accepted way to clarify to the user that multiple answers may be selected. It is contrary to all protocols that this should be chosen.

Usage Variables
Please, restore the possibility to see if and where user variables are used in a project. This is very important, als partially due to a bug created a while ago that variables sometimes get duplicated without any warning about the reason, and they get of course a number added to their name in that process to keep the uniqueness of the names. It is now really a clunky workflow to try to find out why the variable was created and which one is used where.

Pass/Fail actions in Quiz: allow condition
The Success and Failure actions on the quiz slide are limited to standard actions. Please allow also conditional actions! Since we already lost advanced and shared actions as well as the On Enter event of the score slide, being able to use a condition would at least allow some customisation. Example: different navigation depending on the learner score (>80, between 60 and 80, below 60) is impossible now without adding extra slides and more work.

Allow DIVs
As of now, you can select blocks that have two columns for text or an image on one side and text on the other....Just as in wordpress, you should allow DIVs to create columns or rows so we can divide a page into sections and then put whatever elements we want into each section. This is perfectly responsive and is used in a lot of web page development. It would give immeasurably more creativity for design!

Status Flags
Allow status flags in the TOC again - it's great for our helpdesk people to troubleshoot users with issues completing modules - they can see if they've skipped anything. Right now flags show the first time through, but disappear after.

CCs in widgets
Allow for CCs when using audio attached to widgets or multistate objects. Much of the allure and design functionality in captivate is not usable if you need closed captioning for accessability--WHICH IS ALMOST EVERY eLEARNING DEVELOPER!!! We're limited to just the basic blocks which have less functionality than a wordpress page from 2010!!!

Duplicate conditions in interaction
When creating an interaction I often need multiple conditional decisions (only THEN) to cope with different situations. Often those dedicions are similar. Captivate Classic allows to duplicate a decision, and edit it. Example: I want to add an end slide to a quiz which is available in two languages. Multistate objects are used for a character and two texts, and there are 4 possible situations: Pass+language1, Fail+language1, Pass+language2, Fail+language2. That means 4 decisions in the interaction which are very similar. I cannot find out how to duplicate the decisions. Result: I have to do the same workflow 4 times from…

Rearranging states - change default state
I would like to be able to rearrange the sequence of the states, or have a copy/paste possibility. At this moment only the duplicate (CTRL-D) is available but the duplicates cannot be moved. Since I have a touch screen I would prefer to be able to use the touch feature, but can live with using the mouse or trackpad as well.
Moreover it would be great to be able to choose another default state than the first one created. I solve that at this moment by using an interaction triggered by the On Enter slide event, but since there are…4 votes -
Improve Calibration for Software Simulation - Captivate 12.3
With Captivate 12.3 (Windows 11 laptop), when I prepare to do a software simulation and select Narration and then calibrate, the audio is so quiet, regardless of which microphone I use, that it's inaudible in the project. Suggest you add the ability to manually calibrate, or address this if it's a bug.

Transfer value system variable to user variable
It seems not to be possible to transfer the value of a system variable to a user variable, at least I have been trying without success. I want to show partial results of a quiz in a custom results slide (the default results slide has no Enter event). This means that I need to transfer the score obtained so far (Quiz.Score) to a user variable. There is a action Assign variable to variable but I am not able to indicate the quizzing system variable.

Touch screens
I know that Captivate Classic never has enabled the possibilities of touch screens, but for an application created from scratch, ignoring this is a pity. Why cannot I rearrange the actions in an interaction by dragging? The Up/Down arrow are not functional to rearrange the actions within one interaction. The old iPad app could use a touch screen, on my Surface Pro I only have difficulties within this new version. I can accept that for the canned templates and blocks, but not for something like actions in an interaction.

Translation Back/Next in Preferences
Preferences, Quizzing, Default labels give the opportunity to translate also labels for buttons (not all). Back/Next labels are there, and they are used during Review in all situations, but the translation is not applied. This means, that the developer needs to translate all buttons individually on each slide. Same is the case for all buttons on the Score slide. Since there is no On Enter event for that slide, nor the possibility to add custom states to the buttons you cannot use that score slide when you have question slides in multiple languages in one project. I really hope that…

Hint message???
In Preferences, Quizzing, Default Labels there is a 'Hint message' but after in-depth exploring this has no sense. There is no way to activate a Hint to appear, the multistate objects for the feedback messages during quizzing and Review do not have a Hint state at all. Moreover it is impossible to add custom states to any button, including the embedded buttons on quiz and score slides. I tried with multiple attempts on question level, where a hint would make sense from the second attempt, but situation is the same.

Editing Theme Fonts appears Broken
When I edit the theme fonts and select "other" after selecting my font, I get a white screen. If I close out of it and and reopen the theme editor, it reopens to that. If I then change my theme and attempt to edit it, it again goes to that white screen.
I have attached a short screenshare. Incase that doesn't work, here's a download link from dropbox: https://www.dropbox.com/scl/fi/okruc67npsjsa8r6mfnao/Captivate-Error.mp4?rlkey=j3506e58znmkmul4x7f9orkir&dl=0

Add shapes and text boxes.
We utilize shapes and text boxes frequently in Captivate Classic. These seem to be missing from the new version of Captivate.

Add the ability to animate multiple images and objects in the same space.
In Captivate Classic, you are able to animate an image and then animate multiple items beside or on top of the original image. This does not appear to be possible in the new Captivate. Most of our slides built in Captivate Classic contain animations times with narration. We do not want to lose the ability to animate in this way in the new version of Captivate.

Enable us to move images to the location of our choice on the slide. Also, allow us to stack or overlap images on top of one another.
Currently, you have limited control over where an image is placed on the screen. For example, I was attempting to place our company logo in the lower right side of the screen, but could not do this. I would also like to be able to add an image on top of another image. For example, I might like to have a check mark appear over another image at a certain point during the narration.

Roundtripping with Creative Cloud
Enable the roundtripping for the Creative Cloud programs that exist in Adobe Captivate Classic in the new Captivate version. Part of the appeal of Captivate Classic is the ease of use with the creative cloud. It would be great if new version had this feature too.

I've had learner feedback that the scroll bar to scroll down the screen goes away unless your mouse is on the screen. This means they are often disorientated as when they don't see the scroll bar they assume there is nothing to scroll down to.
The scroll bar should always display if there is a need, and not show at all if there is not a need. The colour should also have enough contrast for accessibility reasons.
